Course Overview
The Glassbox Private Cutting Course is an intensive, fully customized program designed for barbers and hairstylists who want real technical improvement—not surface-level inspiration.
This is not a one-day demo or trend class.
It’s a deep dive into precision cutting, mechanics, and execution, built around repetition, correction, and refinement.
Courses run from 2 to 10 days, allowing the curriculum to scale with the student’s experience, goals, and desired level of mastery.
What We Focus On
This course is built around the three foundations of all strong haircuts:
• Line – structure, control, and precision
• Graduation – weight, balance, and shape
• Layering – movement, elevation, and flow
From there, we expand into:
• In-depth cutting techniques and mechanics
• Elevation, over-direction, and sectioning
• Scissor control and refinement
• Understanding shape and head form
• Correcting mistakes and common technical flaws
Styling & Finishing
Cutting is only half the job.
Strong finishes sell the haircut.
• In-depth blow-drying and styling fundamentals
• Product selection and usage
• Clean, intentional finishing techniques
• Creating consistency from cut to finish
Daily Structure
Morning: Live demonstrations and technical breakdowns
Afternoon: Hands-on work with guided coaching
• Mannequins and/or live models
• Live models included on select course packages
Students receive direct feedback in real time, with corrections made on the spot—not after the fact.
